Artist's Comments

I drew this as practice ((I will get better)) because any good storyteller knows that the environment something takes place in is as important as the characters that play roles in said story.

So I did a triangle panel study of the slum sector of the city that Project Arcana takes place in.

Someday my cities will look good, this is believe it or not the FIRST time I've ever seriously drawn a city. I've never taken an art class so I have to choose my own studies, and this one never came up until now.

your first time?! no waaaaiii man OwO looks pretty professional to me

You think?! =O! Yes yes, backgrounds always bore the pantaloons off of me so I've never really given anything but nature backgrounds a go. I HAVE to learn though, and I must say that drawing this was pretty fun! ((HEY, THE PIGGY IS ON THE WAY TOO XP))

You can have the greatest cast ever, but with no plot or no setting all you got is lost money, lol.

Way interesting style lass, can't say that I've seen it before. And incredible detail on each one, especially on the shadows!

Major thumbs up to you city work kilderok, your first try is major ruling about now, lol.

Yep. Can't have characters running around the blank dimension. XD;; Daffy Duck could do it, but only for one episode. Our boys couldn't do it for ten seconds. XD

I HATE drawing backgrounds but hey, someone has to do it and I'm the only artist on the scene. X___x; XD I've grown more lenient towards how long it takes to draw backgrounds since this pic.

Oh yeah. For all we know we could shatter the world of drawing with a parallel universe, oh what would we become, lol.

I want to start drawing backgrounds personally, lol. I do note that some backgrounds are crazily done and the artist, like you, would deifnitely derserve an applause for it.

I'd perfer to do simple ones, even then backgronuds add something to a pic. ^-^

Backgrounds are an artform in themselves. O___o They are terribly difficult at first but once you learn how things angle off and flow from many different views, you can sort of work with it. A good tip for drawing backgrounds, is observe your surroundings long and HARD. If your brain doesn't comprehend something, stare at it and play with it until your mind can make sense of it. <33333

Agreed, like the detail I catch with some paintings, I'm speechless at how much nature an artist is able to capture. Much like you lass. ^-^

Usually you stare at something long enough it turns out to be those hidden pictures things, dunno.
